How to cram a whole race season into a month!

- 22 May – Action Cam Shootout
- 24 May – Eton SuperSprint Saturday Scootathlon 2014

- 31 May – Nottingham Triathlon 2014
Yes, this month has been entirely about building up to Nottingham Triathlon with the hope of improving on my result last year, despite the late start to my season. (Last year I entered Nottingham in January and did my first race of the year on 2 February!)
Well, it was a bit of a rush, remembering how to transition and how to race, but job done. 6th/75 in AG and Q3 for the GB Age-Group team for the world champs. Now, I just hope to find some heavily discounted flights – or a sponsor who wants to connect with the GB athletes.
Em, Kitty and Isaac have been great supporters as always. The kids throughly enjoyed the Human Race scootathlon too, and will add some words to their race photos soon.
Training this month was more-or-less entirely transition practice, recovery, or sharpening sessions. I’m going to do a couple of races next month, but it’ll be nice to fit in a proper block of training too!
Finally, here’s the comparison between this month’s training, last month, and this month last year.
